ArtsKC Award winners announced

The Arts Council of Metropolitan Kansas City announced five business honorees and two individual honorees of the upcoming ArtsKC Awards. This year’s business honorees include: Kansas City Repertory Theatre, Kansas City Area Development Council, Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City, and the Sprint Foundation. Individual honorees are Steve Metzler & Brian Williams.

National Endowment for the Arts announces grant to Harriman-Jewell Series

Rocco Landesman, Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts, has announced that the Harriman-Jewell Series has been approved for a grant of $7,500 to support the Discovery Concerts, which bring new artists to new audiences at no cost to the public.
