Coterie Theatre and Unicorn Theatre (May 7–9); William Baker Festival Singers (All sections); Summer Singers of Kansas City (All sections)
Coterie and Unicorn Theatre announce combined auditions
The Coterie Theatre and the Unicorn Theatre will hold combined auditions for professional adult actors (18 years of age and older) - Equity and non-Equity - for their respective 2011–12 seasons. Audition slots may be made for May 7, 8 or 9. Auditions will take place at the Unicorn Theatre, 3828 Main Street.
Auditions are by appointment only. Actors will be asked to perform two contrasting contemporary monologues (no Shakespeare), not longer than two minutes each; no musical material or classical material. Actors must bring two head shots and two resumes. To schedule an appointment, call Annette at (816) 474-4241 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday starting April 15.

• Children of the Damned Corn; directed by Ron Megee (Coterie At Night)
• Seussical; directed by David Ollington and Jeremy Watson
• The Wrestling Season
• Freedom Sisters: Stamping, Shouting & Singing Home (tour)
• Fantastic Mr. Fox; directed by Ernie Nolan
• Once Upon a Mattress (new theatre for young audiences version)
The Unicorn’s 2011–12 season is:

• God of Carnage
• The Salvation of Iggy Scrooge
• Next Fall
• Hungry; directed by Cynthia Levin
• Time Stands Still
• Everyday Rapture
Both the Unicorn and the Coterie are dedicated to multi-racial, non-traditional casting. Persons of color or ethnic origin are encouraged to audition.

William Baker Festival Singers
Fourteenth Season - 2011–12
Established in 1998, 50-voice chorale specializing in sacred a cappella classics and spirituals, in addition to works for chorus and chamber orchestra. The ensemble has performed at regional conventions of the ACDA, has toured from Chicago to San Antonio to Atlanta, has released 20 CD recordings and has appeared in numerous radio and television broadcasts. Chamber orchestra performances have included Bach: Mass in B Minor and St. Matthew's Passion, Mozart: Requiem, Bernstein: Chichester Psalms, and Kodaly: Laudes Organi. Rehearsals Tuesday evenings, 7:00-9:30, at the Faith Lutheran Church in Prairie Village.
Openings in all sections for the 2011-2012 season by competitive audition. Plans include performances of a cappella repertoire throughout the concert season, annual Candlelight Concert in December, a March performance of Beethoven's Missa Solemnis, recording session and spring tour to Sioux Falls and northwesern Iowa.

The Summer Singers of Kansas City
The Summer Singers of Kansas City, a 125-voice summer-only chorus for adults and mature youth, announces openings on all sections for 2011 performances of MASTERS OF THE BAROQUE to include Vivaldi Gloria, choruses from Handel's Messiah, in addition to works of Bach, Buxtehude, Telemann, Purcell, and Salamone Rossi. Past seasons of the Summer Singers have included masterworks such as the German Requiem of Brahms, Great Mass in C Minor of Mozart, The Creation and Lord Nelson Mass of Haydn, and Beethoven's Ninth Symphony
Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings, 7:00-9:30, at Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral, Broadway at 13th Street in Kansas City, Missouri. NO AUDITION IS REQUIRED. Performances with members of the Kansas City Symphony. Soloists chosen from chorus membership by audition. Dr. William O.
