Gary Holcombe, veteran actor, passes away
Veteran actor of stage and screen, Gary Holcombe passed away on October 11, 2011 aged 66. Holcombe was a founding member of the Kansas City Actors Theatre and is fondly remembered for his portrayal of Ebenezer Scrooge at the then-Missouri Repertory Theatre.
Veteran actor of stage and screen, Gary Holcombe passed away on October 11, 2011 aged 66. Holcombe was a founding member of the Kansas City Actors Theatre and is fondly remembered for his portrayal of Ebenezer Scrooge at the then-Missouri Repertory Theatre.
Leaving a Broadway career in 1988 to move to Kansas City with his wife Donna Thomason, Holcombe made a name for himself in local productions and as a teacher at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Monday, October 17, 2011 at Unity Temple. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Gary Holcombe “Dare to Risk” Scholarship Fund at the Country Club Bank, PO Box 410889, Kansas City, MO, 64141.
