ArtsKC Awards Luncheon: Call for nominations
Each year, the ArtsKC Awards luncheon features some of the area's best visual and performing arts talent, and is a wonderful and unique opportunity to honor businesses and individuals for their remarkable commitment to the Kansas City arts community. A call for award nominations and for visual and performing artists are currently under way.
Each year, the ArtsKC Awards luncheon is attended by more than 500 metropolitan area business and arts professionals and is widely known as one of the “must attend” events of the year. Featuring some of the area's best visual and performing arts talent, the luncheon is a wonderful and unique opportunity to honor businesses and individuals for their remarkable commitment to the Kansas City arts community.
Call for Award Nominations (DEADLINE - OCTOBER 3)
The Arts Council will honor six businesses for their achievements during the 2011 ArtsKC Fund Workplace Giving Campaign. Nominations are currently being selected for the following additional awards:
Virtuoso Award: The Virtuoso Award recognizes an exceptional individual or group of individuals who has/have volunteered for a metropolitan area arts organization(s) or artist(s). Honorees will be selected based on criteria such as scope of involvement or support, impact of contribution, and quality of service.
Impact Award: The Impact Award honors a metropolitan area business that had, or continues to have, a significant impact on a local arts organization or artist. Honorees will be selected based on criteria such as scope of involvement or support, impact of contribution, originality, and quality of service. Call for Visual Artists (DEADLINE - SEPTEMBER 16)
The Arts Council of Metropolitan Kansas City is seeking an artist to develop 9 original works of art to be presented to metro-area businesses in recognition of their impact in the arts community and their support of the ArtsKC Fund workplace giving campaign.

Call for Performers (DEADLINE - OCTOBER 3)
The Arts Council of Metropolitan Kansas City is currently seeking proposals for the 2012 ArtsKC Awards luncheon. The ArtsKC Awards has become one of Kansas City’s most popular events. Selling out to crowds of over 500 business, civic, and arts leaders, the event features some of the metro area’s best visual and performing arts talent.
