Announcing Musical Theater Heritage's 2012 Season Open Auditions

SWEENEY TODD: Equity and Non-Equity contracts available. First rehearsal March 27th. April 12th Open. April 29th Close *The role of Mrs. Lovett has been cast.
SOUTH PACIFIC: Equity and Non-Equity contracts available. First rehearsal July 24th. August 9th Open. August 26th Close.
A SPECTACULAR CHRISTMAS: Equity and Non-Equity contracts available. First rehearsal November 20th. Dec 6th Open. Dec 23rd Close.
PREPARATION: Please bring a picture and resume and prepare two contrasting songs approximately 16 measures each. If there is a role you feel strongly about feel free to sing a song from the show. An accompanist will be provided.

TO REQUEST AN AUDITION: There are time slots available every 10 minutes during the audition dates and times above. Please email your requested time slot based on that (eg, "I'd like to audition at 1:40pm on Sunday Sept. 25th"). Please email your request or call (816) 221-6987.
FYI: All roles are paid. Equity Contracts are Special Agreement Level II and include Health weeks. MTH rehearses 5pm-10pm, Tuesday-Sundays. Performances are Thursdays- Sundays, only. Please Note: Cast members in our last production, EVITA, do not need to attend these open calls to be considered for callbacks. However, if you feel strongly about a particular role please feel free to schedule an appointment and sing for it specifically. Children ages 8 and up may audition for SOUTH PACIFIC.
Casting Call for ArtSounds' Where is my American Dream
Dream Team is looking for actors and actresses to portray real life characters between the ages 17-32 for a theatrical show that is part of the prestigious ARTSOUNDS series which is a collaboration between UMKC and Kansas City Art Institute.
The format of the show is a series of monologues that are based on true stories. Please, check our schedule below, and send us an email to receive your monologue excerpt for the auditions.
Please, make sure you will be available for the rehearsals. There is no compensation for the project. You will receive recognition on the program, receive a recording of the show with promotional material, and will be featured on our website.
OPEN AUDITIONS will be held at KC Public Library, Plaza Branch,4801 Main Street, Kansas City, MO 64112
Large Meeting Room

Sunday October 2, 4 PM - 6 PM
"Large Meeting Room" is on the main floor (going towards the children's section you will find the room on your left side close to the painted cow sculpture)
