Community Connections

What happens to a community when their respected news institution falls victim to a changing economy and sharply decreases its coverage of the performing arts? 

Grassroots grow.

KCMetropolis.org fills an essential need in the community for definitive performing arts coverage. Now in our third season of covering the arts, we bring together the voices of many expert writers, musicians, musicologists and arts aficionados; and working in partnership with other arts-related and tourism-based organizations, present the most extensive and exciting coverage ever offered of our rich performing arts community.

As a non-profit organization we thrive on collaboration. In addition to our reviews, previews, interviews and events listings, we want to know and publish the exciting new things from community arts councils and hard Arts News from arts organizations (such as educational opportunties, personnel changes, etc.)

Send press releases to press@kcmetropolis.org and we will be happy to publish appropriate stories that will interest our readership. Please note that editorial assignments are built from the KC Events calendar.  If you are not listed on our calendar, we will not cover your event.
