KC Events Terms of Service

KCMetropolis.org Performing Arts Calendar Guidelines

Welcome!  We are pleased to offer a community-wide performing arts calendar to Kansas City and the surrounding area.  If you are a professional presenter, producer or performer you may add and edit your own PERFORMANCE events to this calendar.

Please note that editorial assignments are built from KC Events.  If you are not listed on our calendar, we will not cover your event.

  • Create a unique login and password and then sign in.
  • At the top of the left-hand navigation bar you will see a section called "Submit Content."
  • Click on "Submit an Event" and fill out the form to enter your event.
  • Click on "Manage My Events" to edit your entries.
  • Events will be approved by KCM and go live within 48 hours. (Some organizations will receive automatic approval)
  • Please keep a copy of your login information. KCM cannot access your unique information.

PLEASE check the KC Events page BEFORE uploading your events, to make sure your event is not already listed and avoid duplicates.

KCMetropolis.org accepts performance listings for the following categories:
Classical Music
New Classical Music
Art House Films
Dance
Theatre
Jazz
Arts Issues (for meetings only)

PLEASE - no pictures in the listings.  The system does not support photos although there does appear to be a load in for them.

Sorry, KC Events does NOT list:
Auditions (Please send us a seperate release for this and we will list it in the AUDITIONS column)
Pop or rock music
Country music
Garage bands
Music performed within a church service
Amateur or high school-level performances of any type
Ice capades shows, etc.
Luncheons or fundraisers
Singles meetings, or any type of meeting
Master classes or residencies
Rehearsals

If your event is not appropriate for KCMetroplis.org, it will not be approved.

VENUES
Venues have been preloaded into the calendar system.  If you do not see your venue listed, please send an email to info@kcmetropolis.org referencing your event name and date, as well as the name and address of your venue and it will be added to your listing.
